Fiberglass is manufactured through the following process:

1.Melting Glass:

Raw materials such as silica sand, limestone, and other additives are melted in a furnace at high temperatures.

2.Drawing Fibers:

The molten glass is extruded through tiny openings to form continuous glass fibers.

3.Forming:

The fibers are either woven into a fabric, chopped into short strands, or formed into rovings (bundles of continuous strands).

4.Resin Application:

The fibers are combined with a resin matrix, typically polyester or epoxy, to create a composite material.

5.Molding:

The fiberglass composite is molded into the desired shape using techniques such as hand lay-up, spray-up, or pultrusion.

6.Curing:

The composite is allowed to cure and harden, resulting in a final product with the desired properties.
